Could fish skin be the new snake skin? Thai designer Angie and Penny created a new line of bikinis, bags, belts, and shoes out of tilapia skins. Supposedly the material is breathable and waterproof, but I doubt the smell is pleasant. The bikini sells for $84.95. Meanwhile, Chilean designer Claudia Escobar has experimented with Scottish Salmon Skin in her swimsuit line. Trimmed with Lycra, her suits go for about $495. While fish skin used to be thrown away, it is becoming more desirable with new fishy clothing and accessory lines.
